Hello! I'm Michelle and I am a postgraduate researcher in the United States. I have worked in higher education administration and I have recently completed my Master of Art in English Multicultural Literature remotely from Heritage University in Toppenish, Washington! My focus in my field is on identity within literature and media. Specifically, I focus on transnational feminist issues and liberation. I recently ended my self-imposed studies break and am currently seeking PhD programs anywhere in the US!
I have experience in libraries, higher education administration, research, community management, and more. Right now I work at a non-profit where I organize internships for students in social work and therapy. I advise these students throughout the process of their education and help break down barriers for those who are new to the field of education and academia.
I've also spoken at conferences, have upcoming published chapters in collections, and have other works under publication consideration.
I am always happy to discuss my research topics, research opportunities, job opportunities, and similar! I am currently working on my PhD application packet for the next application cycle.
My most recently published essays can be found in Black Witches and Queer Ghosts and is available now!
Or you can check our my chapter about Mothman, conspiracy, and folkloric grief processing inThe Lizard People Don't Want You to Read This here.
Upcoming: I have an essay on modern popular music as a means of lesbian feminist expression coming soon, I'll post a link once it is ready!
Stay tuned as I currently have many upcoming chapters in various stages of editing and drafting that will be published within the next year!
